Cosmic Glam

La Prairie is a luxury cosmetic company originating in Switzerland, well known for their anti-aging products for women around the world. They are well known by word-of-mouth through many Beauty Agents in well-respected boutiques and department stores. With my team at frog, we proposed a redesign of an e-commerce experience to drive more sales and conducted a branding exercise that can enliven the brand; targeting younger demographics who are to become their future customer.
The direction we took was called Cosmo Glam; which we added some colors from the ingredients to their existing palette of blue and silver. We utilized the rich textures of caviars and sea weeds to bring some richness to their current brand. We also wanted to convey the luxurious image of the brand so we added some diagonal glass-like design elements from their gorgeous packaging to online experience.
Overall, we wanted to keep the shopping experience as elegant as possible where prices were displayed but in a quiet manner as they were not the main purchasing factor in luxury products. We used Ingredients to allure them into stories behind each and every product, and indicate why they work by explaining some clinical terms. We did not reinvent the purchasing path because we didn't want to eliminate the current demographics, but used best practiced experience that seemed most intuitive to customer's purchasing
